Finally on the River with the New Boat!

I finally got the new boat all geared up! We met up with friends Kara & Andy for some boating. Day 1, we put in on the Cemetary run on the Roaring Fork to the Colorado, and took out at South Canyon. Day 2, we put in at Shoshone and ran down to South Canyon. Good fun, the new rig worked out pretty well. Just a little mishap in Shoshone, wasn't sure of the line in one rapid and nailed a rock!

Chicago Style!

Wendy and Piper joined me in Chicago last week. I was in town for work and they came to see the city! On the itinerary : Aquarium, White Sox Game, 'Rock Of Ages' musical, the Lakefront and Millennium Park! It was a busy week and lots of fun.

Balloons Over Town

The balloon festival got off to a slow start with high winds on Saturday, no balloons launched. But, better weather came in on Sunday and 9 balloons took flight!

Yampa Canyon

I was invited on a permitted Yampa Canyon trip. We launched on May 14th and we were on the river for 6 days. Great canyon, beautiful scenery! Good stuff!

MS Track Results....

Congrats to the Ouray County MS Track team on a 44 Ribbon performance at the SJBL Meet in Cortez yesterday!  Some of the results were as follows:
