1st Day of Boating Season

The weather was warm and we decided to run the river - Ridgway Town Run. Piper was in her new boat for the first time and looking good! The flow was pretty low, technical, and fun. We even saw a dead deer floating at the bottom of the run near the lake.

Just got back from Puerto Penasco and had a great trip. Probably the best weather we have ever had down there....Tues-Fri was calm and beautiful....that means Fishin' weather. Piper and I went out four days in a row and caught a lot of fish. Some new types this year. Flounder, Pacific Mackerel, Spotted Bass, Trigger, others yet to be identified...

We rented a new house this year. A little bigger with a great patio and breathtaking views! We saw a whale from the patio, it popped up a few times and spouted! Cool! Also, saw some dolphins from the kayak and heard a seal.

Spelling Bee

Piper won the Ridgway MS Spelling Bee, so we'll be heading to Denver to the Annual State Bee. Wow!

Spelling Bee 2012

The Denver Post 72nd Annual Colorado State Spelling Bee will take place on March 10, 2012 at the Colorado Convention Center. The champion of The Denver Post 72nd Annual Colorado State Spelling Bee will win an all-expenses- paid trip to compete in the 2012 Scripps National Spelling Bee. There will be other prizes for our area’s top spellers, including saving bonds and medals.

Powder Day...

Well, the timing finally worked out where snow has fallen, and we had a day to go ski. Telluride got a bunch of snow earlier in the week and then got 10" Thursday into Friday. Skiing on Saturday was good. Bluebird day...beautiful.

Urning It (The Shortcut) Play

Wendy had opening night of the High-School Drama Production "Urning It (the shortcut)" last night. It was hilarious! She did a great job with the kids. I think everyone had a lot of fun.

H4TH in Telluride

Wendy and I went to Telluride on 12/30 to see Head For The Hills play at the Sheridan Opera House. It was a great show. A good way to ring in the new year!
