Kenedy and Jordan visited us for a few days for Christmas. We had a great time with them. We went cross-country skiing on Red Mountain Pass on Christmas day. They will be off to Hawaii in a couple of weeks.

We just got back from 6 sun filled days in Kino Bay. The beach was absolutely beautiful! One of the best beaches we have been to anywhere! Relaxing, exploring, fishing, Frisbee filled our days. Here are some pics....
Piper and I paddled out to Alcatraz Island. It is a bird sanctuary, with all types of birds everywhere!

Westwater
We ran Ruby/Horsethief then Westwater canyon this past weekend. It was HOT! The river was super muddy and thick with silt. All of our stuff got so dirty and stained with mud. We ran the Ruby section with some folks from Ridgway, then met Mark/Maria for Westwater. Piper ran it in her ducky! She did awesome, had a couple of swims, but made most of the big rapids including Funnel Falls and Skull!

Glenwood Springs
We rallied over to Glenwood Springs this weekend. Wendy took my car in for service on Friday and Piper and I met her at the camp in Glenwood Friday night. We stayed at the "Hideout Camp". It was a great spot, peaceful and close to town. The Roaring Fork was running about 1500 cfs and we wanted to run Cemetery down to South Canyon. It was an awesome day. Beautiful weather, good flow, and everyone had a great time! The highlight of the day was Piper running South Canyon rapid at 3400 cfs and nailing it! She had a great run.
